In recognition of the complexity of the facility and asset management industry, effective management of risk, planning and practice is an essential component of the facility life cycle.

Organizations increasingly find themselves in uncertain times due to the impact of technology, globalization and an ever increasing pace of the facility lifecycle. These drivers represent enormous opportunities; however the consequences of the failure to adapt are also significant. Increased focus on security of facilities has also created an additional dimension of risk, impacting on the overall risk profile of Facility Management.

Over the years, GRA has contributed its experience to this industry by enhancing the knowledge base and applications of risk management with Facility Management organizations.

In addition to delivery of specific support and services to Facility Management organizations, GRA is the author of the "Facility Management Guidelines to Managing Risk", released in 2004 by the Facility Management Association of Australia.
